This area is dedicated to Study Skills Plus support materials, which is an online diagnostic and assessment tool to help students develop their core English and Maths skills. The online tools allows students to be assessed as to their current level against national curricula criteria. This area also hosts information on how to access the Study Skills Plus staff portal and tutor guides.
ePortfolios - Myportfolio (Mahara) How to guides and videos
This is the UEL student centered system that allows you to build your E-Portfolio. This area provides you with a range of How-to-guides on topics such as; (How to log on and navigate, what content to add to the e-portfolio, how to display content and share it with others, creating groups) and finding out more about what you can do with groups.
LinkedIn Learning (formerly Lynda.com)
An free online education company that offers thousands of educational video courses and tutorials in software, creative and business skills such as 3D + animation, Photoshop, Photography, Developer, Adobe, Dreamweaver to name just a few. This area allows you to register as a member and login using a PC or mobile device.
Moodle - UEL's Virtual Learning Environment
It is the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) used at the University of East London (UEL). This area offers you tips and how-to-guides on topic such as; (How does Moodle work, How can you use it for assessments, How do you add activities, teaching and learning resources to my course, How can I set up a Mid-Year Evaluation, How can I track my students progress) including how to get started.
Turnitin
This is an originality checking and plagiarism prevention software used by students and teachers. This area contains information on submission guidelines, how-to-guides on topics such as; (setting up links that students can submit to, marking students work, exporting grades to a spreadsheet, formative peer marking, anonymous submissions) and much more.
Video Capture - Panopto How to guides and videos
A video management software tool which is integrated with Moodle and available to all UEL lecturers for lecture capturing, flipped classrooms and assessments purposes to name a few. This area contains support videos including How-to-guides offering information on (how to install Panopto on various computers and devices, recording and uploading videos, preparing Moodle courses for Panopto uploads, how to allow students to submit their own videos) plus lots more.
