A message from Dr Stella Cottrell - Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Learning, Teaching and Student Engagement
Dear Students,
In June 2014, Academic Board approved the Learning and Teaching Strategic Direction which set out three key priorities in 2014-2015 in support of your learning experience at UEL. These were -
- 1. Drive up teaching quality
- 2. Build student engagement and progression
- 3. Achieve high rates of graduate employability
You can read the full paper at (http://www.uel.ac.uk/celt/about/learning-and-teaching--strategic-direction/). We are now consulting both staff and students on what you think should be our strategic priorities for the next few years. Do you agree with these priorities or are there other priorities that you think are more important? Are there things we are doing well in support of your learning experience that we should be doing more of? We want to hear your views. If you are available to attend one of the following forums, you can tell us your views in person. Please let Mariam know if you are able to attend so we can ensure we have plenty of food and drink to keep you energised. You can email her at Mariam@uel.ac.uk

Once we have gathered all the feedback from the student and staff consultations we will provide a summary of the themes that emerge, as well as using these in formulating the new strategy.
Many thanks for your help in formulating the new strategy.
Best wishes,
Stella
