On the afternoon of Friday 22nd January, the suppliers of Turnitin announced that they were experiencing interruptions to service due to malicious attacks (DDOS).

The attack began at 1:43pm (GMT) and the vendor announced that the situation had stabilized at 4:35pm (GMT), although problems were still experienced for a while.

Any Turnitin assignments with deadlines from Friday 22nd through Sunday 24th have been extended until midnight tonight (Monday 25th) to account for the disruption caused by the problems.
